About The School Board

School board members collaborate with the school leadership team to oversee governance, financial sustainability, and long-term planning, ensuring that decisions reflect the school’s values and vision.

Representing the interests of the school community, the board also guides decisions that affect students, staff, and families, while promoting transparency and accountability. Through this collaborative governance, our school can adapt to challenges and opportunities, ensuring sustainable growth and ongoing improvement.

Matt

Matt - Vice Chair of the School Board at Good Shepherd Lutheran School

Matt has been self-employed for 22 years in the building/ transport industry.  He enjoys every aspect of his job from everyday challenges, to the opportunities to be relational with customers. He has a genuine interest in meeting new people and using his gifts in serving at His Church. Matt also enjoys the opportunity to mentor the younger generations. He volunteers his time in coaching basketball for the church he attends, while also using it as a way of Christian outreach.

Matt has been a part of the school board since 2017, currently serving as Vice Chair. He has a strong motivation for the GSPV community, continuing to facilitate the ‘Men n Minors’ camps, the annual Welcome Party, and ‘Dad’s Nights’. Building relationships which extend beyond a family’s time at GSPV, he feels, is something that Good Shepherd Lutheran School excels in and is privileged to be a part of.
