About The School Board
School board members collaborate with the school leadership team to oversee governance, financial sustainability, and long-term planning, ensuring that decisions reflect the school’s values and vision.
Representing the interests of the school community, the board also guides decisions that affect students, staff, and families, while promoting transparency and accountability. Through this collaborative governance, our school can adapt to challenges and opportunities, ensuring sustainable growth and ongoing improvement.

Shawn
Shawn has worked in the Information Technology sector for the past 25 years, providing consulting services to businesses of various sizes and industries, specialising in aligning technology solutions with organisational objectives. Shawn has been a part of the Connected Schools since its inception (as a student and employee!), having attended Salisbury Lutheran Kindy, St Pauls Lutheran School and Endeavour College, and also working for Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School and Good Shepherd Lutheran School. He is a strong advocate for the Connected Schools brand and loves watching our independent schools work closely to enrich the lives of so many children and families.
Shawn has been actively engaged with the Good Shepherd Lutheran School community for over 20 years, contributing as a volunteer, parent, former employee, and Board member since 2017. He is currently serving as the Board Chair.
Shawn has been a dedicated parent at Good Shepherd Lutheran School for the past eight years, with two children enrolled, the youngest of whom is set to graduate in 2025.
Matt
Matt has been self-employed for 22 years in the building/ transport industry. He enjoys every aspect of his job from everyday challenges, to the opportunities to be relational with customers. He has a genuine interest in meeting new people and using his gifts in serving at His Church. Matt also enjoys the opportunity to mentor the younger generations. He volunteers his time in coaching basketball for the church he attends, while also using it as a way of Christian outreach.
Matt has been a part of the school board since 2017, currently serving as Vice Chair. He has a strong motivation for the GSPV community, continuing to facilitate the ‘Men n Minors’ camps, the annual Welcome Party, and ‘Dad’s Nights’. Building relationships which extend beyond a family’s time at GSPV, he feels, is something that Good Shepherd Lutheran School excels in and is privileged to be a part of.
Matt has had 3 children schooled at Good Shepherd, with his last child graduating in 2025.

Amy
Amy has been a member of the Board for nearly five years. She is passionate about making a positive impact in our schools, in children’s development, and educational growth. She also feels that making sure all children are included is important. With a professional background in administration at an allied health organisation, Amy brings a wealth of organisational skills and a keen understanding of community needs to the School Board.
As a mother of three, two of who attend Good Shepherd Lutheran School and one now at Endeavour College, Amy has a personal stake in our educational system. Her passion for fostering environments where children can thrive is matched by her active involvement in her children’s educational experiences.
In her down time, Amy enjoys camping, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. She looks forward to continuing her work to support our students and their growth at Good Shepherd Lutheran School.
