BREAKING NEWS ... for 2018, we give thanks ... in 2019 comes brand new experiences for learners

'You Say' ... a celebration of 2018

Screened at our closing service and graduation in December, this video encapsulates the theme 'You Say', It was inspired by Psalm 139 and serves as a wonderful celebration of our strong sense of family and community.

Good Shepherd was acknowledged as a school of excellence in 2018.  For us, our achievements are important, but people and the relationships inspired by Jesus, continue to define us.

CURIOSITY - Early learning, playgroup and long day care.  Enrol now for 2020.

In cooperation with Endeavour College Mawson Lakes, we currently provide a seamless Foundation to Year 12 learning journey for the students in our care.  Good Shepherd Lutheran School, with ongoing encouragement from the local community, has for some time dreamed of enriching and extending this learning journey through the establishment of an Early Learning Community in support of children (birth to school age) and their families.

The commitment of many sees our dream tracking towards reality in 2020 when exciting new facilities will open and unique learning programs launched.  Expanded playgroup opportunities will exist for children from birth to age 3.  Children aged 3-4 will experience CURIOSITY, Good Shepherd’s Early Learning experience.

Integrated Farming ... real life, project based learning.

Imagine if ....
  1. Large volumes of high qualify fruit and vegetables were being produced for …
    1. Local soup kitchens
    2. Our canteen
    3. Our own school families
    4. A ‘sustainable’ catering elective for our students
  2. Students lead and managed the project
  3. Aquaponics was embedded into our STEM curriculum
  4. Our students provided inspiration for others in the community and became advocates and educators themselves for sustainable farming practice
  5. The career paths of a number of our students was inspired through their involvement in the project.

Start up is now complete and our students as entrepreneurs and advocates for sustainability, will learn and develop this project into 2019 and beyond.
